Southeastern OH Youth Mentoring

My Sister’s Place empowers individuals and families affected by interpersonal violence. They provide holistic support and resources, honoring each survivor’s right to self-determination and fostering safety, resilience, healing, and hope within the community. Parents and children stay together in a bedroom and have access to a shared bathroom across the hall. Residents have ready access to licensed mental health counselors, a case manager, a court advocate, and 24-hour shelter staff that will work with you to identify your best next and make a plan to get there.​

About the Owner/Leadership

Established in 1977, My Sister’s Place has been a cornerstone in supporting domestic violence survivors in Athens, Hocking, and Vinton Counties. As one of the first domestic violence shelters in the area, it has continually expanded its services to meet the community's evolving needs.
